This June, Puna at Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, welcomes the next edition of Into the Vines, its acclaimed wine series celebrating exceptional bottles, meaningful storytelling, and the art of gastronomy. Presented in partnership with Fraîche Wine Group, the upcoming weekend will be hosted by Michael Kennedy, CEO and Co-Founder of Fraîche Wine Group, whose work brings together distinctive producers, rare vintages, and a deep appreciation for the places and people behind each wine.
Into the Vines Returns to Nekajui
Rare wines, thoughtful pairings, and an intimate journey through some of the world’s most celebrated vineyards
Designed for both curious enthusiasts and seasoned collectors, the experience will introduce guests to a curated selection of wines from some of the world’s most respected regions, including Napa Valley, Tuscany, and Oregon. Several of the featured labels are not currently available in Costa Rica, and in some cases, have never before been presented in the market. The result is a rare opportunity to taste wines that speak not only to craftsmanship, but also to vineyard identity, vintage expression, and the quiet complexity that makes each bottle memorable.
The weekend begins on Saturday, June 13, with the Into the Vines Pairing Dinner at PUNA. For one evening only, the PUNA culinary team will present a multi-course menu created to complement a thoughtful progression of wines selected by Kennedy. Throughout the dinner, guests will be invited into the stories behind each pour, from the character of the vineyards to the philosophy of the winemakers, creating an experience that is as educational as it is indulgent.
On Sunday, June 14, the series continues with the Gagnon-Kennedy Cru Tasting, an intimate afternoon limited to only 12 guests. Set within a private space at Nekajui, this guided tasting will focus on highly limited single-vineyard wines from celebrated Napa Valley appellations, including Oakville, Rutherford, Coombsville, and St. Helena. Accompanied by artisanal cheeses and light pairings, the tasting offers a closer look at the nuances of place, soil, and season, and the ways in which each vineyard expresses its own distinct personality.
As part of Nekajui’s signature culinary programming, Into the Vines continues to build on PUNA’s reputation as one of Costa Rica’s most exciting destinations for elevated wine and dining. More than a tasting, the series is an invitation to slow down, listen, savor, and experience wine as a journey through landscape, craft, and connection.
