A state-of-the-art, all-in-one epicenter for outdoor sports, recreation, casual dining and entertainment is coming soon to Peninsula Papagayo. Spread out across more than twenty acres on the east plateau, overlooking Huevos Bay, the next-generation community park will feature multiple playgrounds, plenty of open space, and a fresh collection of soulful nature-meets-movement activities and learning opportunities for all ages. With preliminary earthworks already underway, the grand opening is less than 18 months away, in time for the 2024-25 Festive Season.

Other amenities will include:

  • Welcome center with arrival check-in, pro shop, casual dining and concierge services
  • Food truck pop-ups
  • High-performance hardcourts for basketball, tennis, pickleball, and padel
  • 50-meter lap pool
  • Yoga shala
  • Bouldering walls
  • Pump track
  • Water park
  • Kids adventure playground
  • Nature center
  • Dog park

Promising a little heaven on earth for young families, the kitted-out waterpark with waterslides and fountains will have kids splashing the day away, nurtured by nature. Teenagers will be able to escape to their own adventure hub and find themselves with space to breathe. A custom pump track will cater to all-wheel adventures, including BMX bikes, scooters, and skateboards, which will be available to rent.

The competition-quality multi-sport hardcourts will be state-of-the-art. Featuring the latest Rebound Ace™ multi-layered cushion technology, each sports surface system has been planned to enhance performance and reduce temperature so you can stay cooler and play longer, with absolutely no compromise to the natural bounce of the game.

If your speed is more of a slow flow, you’ll want to check out the small group classes at the yoga shala. The exquisite oceanfront setting and sunset views will be out of this world.

The relocation of existing buildings and equipment on the site required to make way for The Park is moving forward on schedule. An important milestone was achieved last month when earthworks and infrastructure for the new administration offices and EMS facilities officially got underway. It means The Park is on track to be delivered in the last quarter of next year, in time for festive celebrations.
